Wu Hongcai;Xi Baofeng;Tu Demin Department of Electronic Engineering Department of Electrical Engineering In the grain conduction model of ion implanted polymer films;the twopresent conduction formulae are corresponding to the low and high electrcal field;respecsively. However;it is shown in shis paper that the dependence of conduotionon electrical field strength can be divided into three regions. Taking accountof the metal grain having floating potential;three conduction formulae of ionimplanted polymers are developed in metal-insulation-metal system under low;medium and high electrical fields;respectively. As test samples;PET films areimplanted with different doses of As~+ and undergone with different rates ofstretching. The dependences of electrical conductions on eleotrical field strengthand temperature;and the effects of gap between grains on the electrical conductionare investigated. The results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.
